Why change to the 700R4?
With the 700R4,
you get away from the common 180C planetary failure. We eliminate the
clutch in the converter to stop any chatter problems like the
180C.
Each unit gets more power on take-off due to lower gear ratio with the
700R4.

This also saves wear on the engine and allows it
to run cooler with improved fuel efficiency. The 700R4 is a larger transmission
carrying two more quarts of transmission fluid which results in a cooler
operating temperature.
The transmission cooler should be installed when
the transmission is changed unless an outside cooler has previously
been installed.
